The building in the background is a condo project called The Beauvallon.

It had units that sold from the 300 to 500+k's a few years back.

While ths design is far superior to the other projects by this developer, I have always thought the execution was cheap.

On the front of the building, there is this big-ass ugly exhaust vent that is off-center.

They could have tried to put it in the middle for at least some aesthetic balance, but no.

Instead they smacked these metal scroll fenestrations over the main facade.

[I'll have to update this post with a picture of this later.]

Also, the faux-French style, was crafted out of that architectural styrofoam stuff.

Though the project was just finished a few years ago, the southern end of the building already has deterioation of the styrofoam.

So over the last few weeks, workers have erected scaffolding to try and fix all the problems with the exterior.

What sucks is with the sheath wrapped over the building, it blocks any and all views.

Plus I have seen workers coming in and out of individual units.

This is week four or five of this project!

Can you imagine have dropped all that money on a unit, only to have it wonk out in just a short period?

Plus, I have heard the workers banging away as early as 8:30 AM.

So not only do you have no view, you also have grungy workers traipsing in and out of your place, and construction noise six days a week [I saw them at work on a Saturday a bit ago.]

Yah, I'd be pissed.

It's located in the stairwell [at the top of some pretty steep stairs with limited landing area] at work.

Having studied interior design, I have to ponder what the point of putting this sign here.

It's a rather heavy door, with no auto-handi-cap opener button, from the office side.

You would think there would be a sign on other side of the door warning it's not a handi-cap exit, so a person doesn't get trapped on the side with the button and the stairs.

What do handicap people do in multi-floored buildings if there's a fire and the elevators can't be used, anyway?

Anywho, don't you think that once the handicap person opened the door and saw there were stairs, they wouldn't enter?

But then again, people are dumb.

Was stoked because it's a zombie movie, but it's just plain stupid.

Supposedly some aliens send down meteors and cast rain showers on some little town in Australia.

You can tell they were trying to be all Shaun Of The Dead with humor and stuff.

Didn't work.

You learn nothing about the hero-bad ass.

The rain supposedly is acid and burns their clothes, yet on skin it's fine.

The continuity of burning clothing is non-existent.

And at the end, the aliens suck all the people up in the sky, and then return them all back to life and healthy.

Whua?

No explanation given as to why the aliens only chose this town either.

And as you guessed it, the zombie virus comes back.

Total waste of my time and brain cells.

'Oyster crackers are small, salted, buttery crackers, typically hexagons about 0.59 in (15 mm) in diameter, although a slightly larger circular variety is also prevalent. They are popular in the northeastern USA, where they are served as an accompaniment to soup, and in the Cincinnati area, where they are frequently served with the city's distinctive chili.

In New England oyster crackers are served in oyster stew and chowders. Oyster crackers do not contain oysters. The origin of the name is unclear, but it may be that they were originally served with oyster stew or clam chowder or merely that their form (a vaguely round 'shell' that splits evenly into two parts) was suggestive of the shape of an oyster in its shell. According to the web site of the still-extant bakery discussed below, the crackers were so named because they were commonly served with oyster stew and other oyster dishes (at least on their early packages).

The oyster cracker was invented by Adam Exton, a baker in Trenton, New Jersey. He emigrated to America from Lancashire, England in 1842. [1] In Trenton, Exton opened a cake and cracker bakery with his brother-in-law, Richard Aspden in 1846. Although Aspden died the following year, Exton continued with the bakery (named the Exton Cracker Bakery or Adam Exton & Co.). He invented the oyster cracker along with a machine that rolled and docked pastry and solved the sanitary problems of hand-rolling crackers.

His oyster cracker was so popular that competitor bakeries "borrowed" his recipe and began producing them as well.

Westminster crackers still makes oyster crackers.
