This is an IM conversation I had with my friend Matt after he saw the post on Worst Teacher Ever:



Matthew says:
why did it shock your AA?

are you usually demure at school?

i think it shocked her i dunno - after it was sent she sent me an email saying 'call me! and don't send any more emails' - but i haven't talked to her - no i am a brat at school if i disagree with something



Matthew says:

Brandon says:
after tom died i came to the realization that life is too short to take crap from anyone and that i should do whatever makes me happy and/or i feel is in my best interests - and i couldn't fathom staying in that class with that beyotch of a teacher



Matthew says:
yah ... andy and I had that conversation (I only read the bottom paragraph so he got the wrong idea ...whoops) but that in Archy school you just take crap because that's why your there.... we fundamentally have a different idea on it... he sees it as a boot camp that you survive and it makes you better



Matthew says:
for me, I can see that, but your paying a lot of money to go to school, it should be enjoyable and you shouldn't have to put up with really substandard teachers.



Brandon says:
yah - i can see andy's point about stuff that i don't know that is being taught to me - but to have some teacher throw attitude in a general studies speech class doesn't go down with momma brown :) - but yah you're right i want to enjoy it, and get something out of it - not dread going to class each week



Matthew says:
yah just to get the general ed

oh yah I guess i forgot it was a gen ed class too



Matthew says:
after I told him the white board part of the story ...he was like ..oh yah...totally... and then was mad at me for leaving part of it out heh



Brandon says:
i have had disagreements with a few of my actual design teachers, but it's usually about theory, so no one is ever really right, and i can admit that - i felt so sorry for that kid - especially after we had just been talking about dealing with the fear of public speaking
