That would suck

I like the fact we have an amusement park smack dab in the middle of the city.

'Six Flags revealed Thursday in a regulatory filing that a recent amendment to a credit agreement gives the company permission to specifically sell Elitch Gardens and five other parks. Previously, the company could sell only up to $300 million in assets. The amendment allows the company to sell all six parks without a price cap.

Previously, Six Flags has said that if it sells the Elitch park, the buyer might not maintain an amusement park there.'

I'm of two minds on this six flags thing. While I wouldn't mind seeing a less corporate, less greedy amusement park operator in town, there are certain benefits to having Six Flags run things. They have deep pockets and their season pass deal is a great way to save some dough.

But growing up with the old Elitches, I have never been impressed with the Six Flags version.

I'll be pissed if they close it down though....not cool. Not cool at all.
