May/December

Shenanigans had a post about meeting a cute guy, but one that is way young. It got me to thinking about May/December relationships.

I posted a comment about how when I was 24, I was fooling around with a guy who was 19.

Funny story that.

He used to work at Tracks with me. At our Christmas party [it always happens at a Christmas party, doesn't it?], he showed up with his girlfriend. But by the end of the party, he and I, were making out on the bar.

It's okay though, most of the staff knew I was kind of a hoochie.

We had fun for a while, but he ended up moving out of the city.

It was thinking about this age difference [not much of one really], that I remembered the most extreme age difference I have ever been involved with. It was when I was 18, and my suitor, was 28.

It was fun at the time though, because I worshipped him then. He was the part owner of a club in Boulder that I used to frequent. First time I saw him, I got all discombobulated. And when I found out he was family, that was like icing on the cake.

Through a random series of acquaintances, and series of events, we ended up talking. Eventually we hooked up, a few times, and that was pretty hot.

Eventually, we moved on, but everynow and then, I would run in to him. He has this eat-shite grin; while devilish appearing in nature, gets me everytime. Plus, he still looks great. Almost as he hasn't aged a day.

Usually when we run in to each other, the same spark ignites and we go at it. The first time was at Babalu; a night they used to have at Maximillians. I posted previously that, that was the same night we hooked up the same night my ex-roommate Deidre hooked up with Big Mike.

Another time it was by the dancefloor at the opening party for Bash; a straight bar. The last time was at a one-off party at a bowling alley. It's encouraging to know that after all this time, there is still some passion there.

He always talked about 'growing old and growing a garden with someone', and I found that quite endearing.
We'll see.

The May/December romance is OK, it's those workplace romances you have to watch out for lest the romance turn to ruin...then you still have to see them every day --or look for a new job :(

You're right. I had a workplace one as well. It was hard trying to work with them. We didn't talk for months.
