The Gays, Financially Speaking
'At Sonny's Jewelry in Cherry Creek, jewelry designer Udi Behr - who you might say is a straight eye for the queer guy - is showcasing his "Love and Pride" collection of jewelry designed for gay and lesbian couples.
"One of the first lessons you learn in the retail business is 'Never judge somebody,"' said Sonny's owner, Michael Nedler. "Somebody may be dressed in jeans and a T-shirt, and may look like he doesn't have two nickels to rub together, but these people surprise you."
Nedler would be selling more jewelry if gay marriage were legal. The study estimates that legalized gay marriage would eventually result in $2 billion in additional spending on weddings, including more than $37 million in Colorado.'
