Nice Surprise



One of the departments we work with, bought us bbq today as a sign of thanks [they have been working us like a dog, trying to get projects in before last quarter].

The food was catered by this place called Brickyard BBQ. I'm not a big bbq person, but man oh mighty, their bbq sauce is tasty. It is probably the best I have ever had.

I'm in luck, they sell their own sauce!

Not sure if you organized the catering from Brickyard, or just attended the event, but I wanted to get the word out that my experience with Brickyard's catering staff was horrible!

I called earlier this week to request a catering service. Unfortunately, they were booked the night we wanted to hold our event (Friday, Sept. 14th). I requested a quote for what it would cost to just pick up the food ourselves. They said they'd call me back. They never did - which was fine b/c we ended up deciding to go a different direction.

Well...I get a call on the morning of Friday the 7th (a week before our event) asking who is coming to pick up the food (mind you, no talk of price or a finalized number for the food...which is what I was supposed to have a return call about). When I say we've decided to go a different direction and that no one will be picking up food the catering contact says: "don't tell me that, we already have the food." Then I realize he was asking who would be picking up the food TODAY. I tell him that our event is not even until next week, that it always was. He then hangs up on me.

Poor, poor, poor customer service. Not only did he get my event details wrong and didn't return a call when he said he would, but he hung up on me when he realized his mistake. Needless to say I'm never going there again!! I would recommend the same to others.
