Useless Info - 'Lunchables'

Consumerist had a post on them, and to me it seems like they were a pretty new product. So I got to wondering when they were introduced. I went to the Kraft site, and nothing. So I emailed customer relations. Here's the response:

Hi Bon Jour,

Thank you for visiting www.lunchablesmom.com.

In 1988 the Oscar Mayer Division introduced Lunchables lunch combinations in Seattle, Washington late in the year.

Then, in 1989 Lunchables were rolled out nationally in the U.S.

If you haven't done so already, please add our site to your favorites and visit us again soon!
