Cruisenfreude - The Out?

Maybe this is the 'out' in 'The Contract'. If it's not fully legal, it can be dissolved.

'Legality, Schmegality?: Will the Cruise-Holmes hitching be official? Last week, the mayor of Bracciano blabbed to Reuters that the couple hadn't yet cut through the country's matrimonial red tape.

"I don't think it will be legal," Patrizia Riccioni was quoted as saying.

"On an Italian level, there are papers and documents that we certainly don't have." But Tom's spokesman insists it will all be on the up-and-up.

"All of the proper and necessary arrangements are being made to assure the legality of the marriage," he asserts to the Daily News. And besides, TomKat apparently consider the wedding a mere formality.

"In many ways we feel like we already are married," Cruise told Good Housekeeping in May. "I know I'm with the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. So the wedding -- that's just the party."
