Fame, is like, so fetch.

Kate over at Logged Hours posted about her recent trip to an OK Go concert. Much like my experience with the last Green Day tour, the audience consisted mostly of tweens and kids.

This got me to thinking that that must kind of suck for the bands. Imagine starting a band, and dreaming of sex, drugs, and rock and roll, and you end up becoming a hit among the brace wearing masses.

That kind of puts a damper on groupie potential.

You could probably still do drugs and alcohol, and most probably do, trying to wash the pain of performing to a bunch of screaming girls, and uninterested parents, away.

This kind of success is a cursed blessing. On one hand you are getting paid and celebrity status, but on the other, you become associated with the Wonder Bread tastes of kids. That's got to be a hard label to shed.

I guess you could always take the Lindsay Lohan route, and just become a full out party robot, to try and gain some street cred. But it's a fine line between being street credible, and a being a big ol' laughing stock of a mess.
