I don't see what the big deal is.

The US got what they wanted. So did Iraq, in a way. But all I have to say is that, at least there's proof.

Unlike when Hitler supposedly faked his suicide, in this day and age, thanks to YouTube, and technology, snuff video is emerging, and is unprecedentedly, archiving history as it happens.

I watched this documetary on reporters embedded in battle, and I was shocked, but not surprised, when they showed footage of people being executed, right in front of the camera.

I think if more people saw real, raw footage, instead of the sanitized, military censored footage we get now, there would be less gumption, to go and support some crazy dictator's false war.

They said that was part of the problem with Vietnam; that reporters had too much access, and turned the public opinion against the will of the government.

We need to return to that.

I don't think in this day and age, we can have such a thing as too much access. Thank god for Time's Person Of The Year.

Iraqis arrest official for Saddam hanging video

Al-Maliki adviser says official who supervised execution is target of probe

BAGHDAD, Iraq - An adviser to the Iraqi prime minister told NBC News on Wednesday that the person who made the mobile phone video of Saddam Hussein's execution has been arrested.

'The person who filmed the execution process has been arrested. ... Now he is under interrogation about the goals of his filming,' said the adviser, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media. 'He was arrested by Iraqi forces.'

The official would not identify the person or provide further details. But he said it was 'an official who supervised the execution' and who is 'now under investigation.'
