'Erin Brockovich opened the Unique Lives series Wednesday night with 2,600 people in the Buell Theatre. You remember the fight that made her famous was all about groundwater and contaminated drinking water. Well, on the podium there was only a glass of Denver tap water.

"You are the most confident community I have ever visited in all my years of speaking," she said. "This is the first and only time I was given water NOT from a bottle. So cheers to you and your confidence, Denver."
