He's back.
Last year, a woodpecker decided to make a nest for itself in the styrofoam moulding on the building at my office.
Went out today, and it's back.
And early.
And it brought a friend.
It's kind of funny, because the incessant tapping annoyed the hell out of everyone in the office.
Building maintenance even had to go and install a piece of metal over its nest, so it would go away.
Interestingly enough, it is building its nest again, about six inches from the last one.
Another thing, is while I was watching it, it looked at me, and then flew away to a lamp post, and was scoping me out. Even its friend stopped pecking to watch me.
We don't give animals enough credit.
