When you are redoing a dial up modem string to connect to the internet you have to use the ^ (carat) in the string for it to work.
Yeah, I'm that nerdy.
But other than that, does it have any uses in regular language?
Well, I find it more metal than an umlaut if taht means anything. ;-)
It's a helmet for retarded umlauts.
What's an umlaut?
It's the two dots above random vowels in Motley Crue's name. Also, Germans use it. The umlaut that is, not the carat.
