My Brownie Problem

Lately, there was been the smell of brownies baking, wafting down the hall on my floor in my condo building.

What's weird, is that it is always at the most random times of day.

Twice last week, I woke up at 430 in morning to the delicious smell, sweetening the air with it's chocolate doughy goodness.

Then over the course of the week, I would smell them either around 11 at night, or 6 in the evening.

It's been like a non-stop scent assault.

Needless to say, I had to make my own batch of almond brownies last night to abate my desire to eat that which I have been tortured with.

This is notable because I am not a big sweets person.

[They came out awesome by the way.]

But not only did I engorge myself with said confection, I began craving something else: the white chocolate raspberry brownies one of my former employers used to make.

Those things were evil!

As in froo-its of the Dev-e-il, evil.

So not only am I being tortured with brownie smells, I now how a craving for something I can't have.

I guess I could to try and make them myself, but I don't think I could find a recipe to match those of the former employer.

This whole thing makes me wonder if I have some sort of grey market bakery in the building.

Oooh, maybe I can get them to make the white chocolate ones if I find out who the culprit is.
