Rental Car Of The Week - Chevy Cobalt

So this is the rental car they gave me this week to help me get to work during the RTD strike - the '06 Chevy Cobalt sedan

Pros:

Quick and peppy
Not too bad on gas [have been driving since last Monday and still have more than a half of a tank of gas after city driving to and from work].
Easy to drive

Cons:
A lot of the surfaces are painted plastic and scratch easily
Tiny, tiny trunk

As for the experience itself of commuting via automobile this week, I have to say, I hate it. I much rather prefer taking mass transit. It is like the movie 'Crash'. You get stuck in your little bubble, cut off from the world around you.

While it is quicker to get around, I found it actually made running errands more difficult. You have to deal with traffic, and parking, and lame ass drivers. I also didn't realize I was such a people-watcher. I entertain myself checking out the crazies and the fashion disasters, on my way to and from work. Plus, I can lose myself in my world with my MP3 player, and be able to notice stuff you normally wouldn't see while rushing around in a vehicle.

Like the progress of this residential tower in Riverfront that is going up. It's growing taller and taller each day which makes it almost out of scale with its location.
No wonder why people always feel like they are rushing around in search of time; they are too busy trying to get somewhere in their 'bubbles', not getting a chance to see and smell the tulips.
