Did I really just see that?

Logo just showed a video for Willie Nelson's gay cowboy song, 'Cowboys Are Frequently, Secretly Fond of Each Other', and it had Burt Reynolds with some Mardi Gras necklace around his neck, acting as director for the video. WTF? I wouldn't think that Burt was homo friendly. Mad shout out to Willie though. His song is kinda funny.

Check the lyrics:

There's many a strange impulse
out on the plains of West Texas;

There's many a young boy who
feels things he can't comprehend.

Well small town don't like it
when somebody falls between sexes,

No, small town don't like it
when a cowboy has feelings for men.

Well I believe to my soul
that inside every man there's a feminine,

And inside every lady there's
a deep manly voice loud and clear.

Well, a cowboy may brag about
things that he does with his women,

But the ones who brag loudest
are the ones that are most likely queer.

Cowboys are frequently
secretly fond of each other

Say what did you think those
saddles and boots was about?

And there's many a cowboy who
don't understand the way that he feels towards his brother,

And inside every cowboy
there's a lady who'd love to slip out.

Well there's always somebody
who says what the others just whisper,

And mostly that someone's the
first one to get shot down dead

When you talk to a cowboy
don't treat him like he was a sister

You can't fuck with the lady
that's sleepin' in each cowboy's head.

Cowboys are frequently
secretly fond of each other

Say what did you think those
saddles and boots was about?

And there's many a cowboy who
don't understand the way that he feels towards his brother,

And inside every lady there's
a cowboy who'd love to come out.

And inside every cowboy
there's a lady who'd love to slip out.

Thoughts from i-walt.com:

'Emjay and I actually caught the premier on LOGO last night. We didn't think much of the video. Personally, I thought the best thing about it was Burt Reynolds wearing all the beads and handling the megaphone. Burt's become great at mocking himself and the parts he's played in movies. This clip is one of the most humorous I've seen him play. I liked Willie, as well; he's being a good sport about the whole thing. I think it bodes well for him to endorse the video and the song as well.'
