Already!? Bummer.

Snow expected in metro area Tuesday night

DENVER - A strong winter storm will push its way into Colorado on Tuesday, and is expected to bring 1-4 inches of snow into the metro area.

9NEWS Meteorologist Nick O'Kelly says the deepest moisture is moving east from Utah and will work its way across Colorado starting mid-morning on Tuesday.

Nick says a mix of rain and snow should hit the metro area by the end of the afternoon commute, and should turn to snow by around 8 or 9 p.m.

Nick expects to see about 1-4 inches of accumulation overnight starting at about midnight. However, with the ground still being a bit warm, snow should mainly accumulate in grassy areas.
