Woman collects Silly String to save lives in Iraq
KUSA - In this age of high-tech weapons systems, something very simple could save the lives of American troops in Iraq.
Marcelle Shriver of New Jersey, whose son is a soldier in Iraq, is collecting cans of "Silly String."
Shriver has 1,000 cans of neon-colored plastic goo packed into her one-car garage ready to be shipped to the Middle East.
Before entering a building, troops squirt the Silly String across the room.
It can shoot strands about 10 to 12 feet.
If it falls to the ground - there are no trip wires. However, If it hangs in the air it indicates there could be a booby trap. The wires are otherwise nearly invisible.
The cans will be shipped in January.

Silly String fires are kind of funny actually. I know that's mean to say, but I have yet to see a Silly String fire and not busted out laughing at it. I'm evil, Joe.
