Fave Artists - 'JMW Turner'

Had to do a presentation on Turner, and this is one of those cases where knowing about the artist's life, totally changed my perception of the work.

Initially I was depressed I was given him as the assignment because I LOATHE watercolors, and landscape/nautical scenes.

Then I found out how batshite crazy insane he was, and how his work contains a lot of surreal elements.

This just scrapes the surface, but he went insane in the membrane. Before he died, all he ate, was booze and milk.
