Employee found tied up at crafts super-store
'BROOMFIELD - Police are investigating after an employee was found bound at a crafts super-store Wednesday morning.
Broomfield Police say they responded to the Hobby Lobby at 5105 W. 120th Ave., near Highway 287 and Sheridan Boulevard, after the alarm went off Wednesday morning. When they arrived on scene, they found the back door of the store unlocked and a woman who worked there tied up inside.
Police say they transferred the employee to a hospital, but her condition was not immediately known. Authorities say she is talking about the situation with police.
According to police, this was an isolated incident.
Police say the Hobby Lobby will remain closed for the remainder of the day.
An official at the Academy Charter School at 120th and Lowell tells 9NEWS the school went into a lockout mode Wednesday morning, but it was not immediately clear whether the lockout was related to the police activity at the Hobby Lobby.
Police say there was no reason for any schools to go on lockdown.
