Couple accused of giving marijuana to 6-year-old

'LAKEWOOD – A mother and another man are both in jail after they were accused of giving her 6-year-old son marijuana.

Regina Martinez, 25, and 21-year old Jason Jay Ladehoff, will be in court later this month. According to an arrest affidavit from the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, the alleged incident took place at the couple’s home in Lakewood on January 9th.

The affidavit states that a man who purchased marijuana from the house saw Ladehoff give marijuana to the 6-year-old. Lakewood Police later investigated and arrested the couple.

Both face several charges, including providing marijuana to a person under 15 and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Both are felonies.

In the affidavit, a doctor interviewed the 6-year old. The doctor told authorities the 6-year-old admitted he had smoked marijuana with the couple in the past.

Martinez is due in court March 13th and Ladehoff will be in court March 26th.'
