Partially buried skeleton found behind mall

'DENVER – Human skeletal remains were found on Monday afternoon by a person walking through the weeds.

The Denver Police homicide unit was called to Cherry Creek South Drive one block east of University Avenue after the remains were found around 4:30 p.m. The area is right behind Cherry Creek Shopping Center.

The remains were partially buried and were taken to the coroner's office for processing.

Police say the remains are so decomposed, they are not sure if they are from a man or a woman.

Police did not release any other details.'
