I'm surprised they called it "Creekside" and not "Riverside." Denver likes to think the Platte is a "river" and not a "creek."
That portion is Cherry Creek.
The Platte is the somewhat larger one down at Confluence park.
Ah... ok... makes sense now.
Still... the Platte isn't a river. It's more like a stream or a brooke or something.
What's larger than a creek, but smaller than a river?

That part is my favorite part of the Cherry Creek trails, the whole Venice on Creek thing. The further up Speer you go, sooner or later the only thing to look at is the creek and the retaining walls. At least over there, there's some interesting architecture.
