I just caught this on AMC the other week, and it hit me how similar it was to the 90's version.
Also, I was surprised by the special effects for a movie from the '50's,
Like the scenes of the flooding in the hull of the ship.
That must have been one big-ass sound stage.

Being a "Titanophile" I LOVE this book.
The movie was partly flimed on the Queen Marry that is now a hotel in Long Beach, CA.
