As if ordering at Starbucks isn't complicated enough

There's a Big Change Brewing at Starbucks

'The Associated Press reports that the Seattle-based Starbucks Corp. has quietly begun adding breakfast foods to selected markets including Washington, D.C. and Portland, Ore., and coming soon to San Francisco and Chicago. By October, some 600 stores nationwide will offer the expanded breakfast line, up from about 250 today. Industry analysts are applauding the move, mostly because there is so little risk involved. "If Starbucks can get food right, it gives them a whole new leg of growth," Linda Bannister, an Edward Jones analyst in St. Louis, told AP. '

We're talking a real breakfast--like a toasted egg sandwich made with peppered bacon and Black Forest ham, eggs Florentine with baby spinach and havarti, or herbed sausage and egg with aged sharp cheddar. Gee, suddenly a muffin seems boring.'
