I don't get it.
How can this be something we vote on, when at the Federal level, it is still illegal?
Not that I am against it, but kind of seems pointless, if people can still get busted for possession.

'Mason Tvert and his group advocating for the legalization of a small amount of marijuana turned in their nearly 130,000 signatures shortly after Paul's group.
Tvert petitioned onto the Denver ballot last fall and voters approved a similar measure to the one they may see this November. Tvert says the key to succeeding on a crowded ballot is to ask voters as simple a question as possible'

This would be my hope...if the state legalizes it, then it would be up to the feds to enforce their laws. I doubt that would ever happen, or ever legally stand up to constitutional challenges, but it would be nice for a while.
The feds couldn't hang and they would be pressured to do some things they might not want to do: increase the DEA presence in one state, or loosen the regs for all states.
Goddamn how I am proud to live in a State taking this one to the ballot though. Hell yeah!
Bong hits for everyone!
