Holy Crap - No way!

Ok, so I am thinking this is from when ABC used to have a program called ABC World News on during the wee hours of the morning. They used to do random stuff and play jokes because they assumed no one was watching. Once after coming home from a rave [I was like 17 at the time], I turned on the tube and the last channel the TV was left on was the local ABC affiliate.

Lo and behold, there are two newscasters sitting in between two cardboard cut-outs of Star Trek actors [original 60's show] dressed in the Star Trek gear. I believe it was Spock and Captain Kirk on the cutouts. They were signing off just before a bumper and they both put up their hands and did the Spock 'Live long and prosper' hand gesture.

I thought I was seeing stuff as residual effects of the night's festivities. But alas, the next day I spoke with two of my friends who happened to see the Star Trek thing as well. Recently I heard on some talking head show like I Love The 90's or something, that indeed, the ABC late night news people used to play around. I think this Anderson Cooper clip is one of those instances: Anderson Cooper In Leather
