Elderly woman seriously injured after car crashes into RTD bus

'AURORA – Police say an 87-year-old woman was seriously injured Thursday morning when she crashed her car into the back of a stopped RTD bus.

Witnesses told police that the woman was driving east on East Exposition Avenue around 7:50 a.m. when she hit the bus at South Walsh Street.

Aurora Police say she was seriously injured and it was unclear if she would make it through surgery.

The woman was the only one in her car. Police say three people were on the RTD bus, two passengers and a driver. No one on the bus was hurt and police say there is very little damage to the bus.'
