Part of me likes the original concept behind this, but in certain angles it's just butt-ugly.

That is a cool building.
It reminds me of Jenga®™©™!
I actually like it. It's different. Better than a big, unimaginative rectangle sticking up out of the ground. Though, a whole city of buildings like that would be UGLY.
Oh yeah, it does look like Jenga!
