Bing Crosby & The Andrews Sisters - 'Mele Kalikimaka'
One of my top five fave Christmas songs.
Although I like this version better [the end is kinda NSFW].

So....
Had to hit the mall this weekend, and I noticed that two songs dominated the in-store music playlists: Mariah's 'All I Want For Christmas [Is You]' and McCartney's 'Wonderful Christmas Time'.
One or the either was always playing no matter which store I was in.
I feel sorry for the retail workers who must be hating hearing these ad nauseum.

Holiday Shenanigans

Today on Sara Cox's show, she was talking about the BBC office party and listeners texted in with things not to do at the Holiday party, specifically, getting drunk and doing stupid stuff.
This got me to thinking about what the worst thing I ever did at a Holiday office party.
Well, it wasn't really an office party, it was for the club I bartended at.
One year, I ended up getting fub'd and ended up making out with my boss's boyfriend.
I believe it was one year later, same thing happened, but instead of the boss's BF, it was one of our straight bar-backs.
In front of his date.
His girlfriend.
Yikes.
Anyone else want to share?

I'm really beginning to hate this time of year.

As per usual, the boss at The Corporation let everyone and their second cousin take off the last week of November through to Jan. 2 leaving just a skeleton crew of 4 to cover for the entire twelve.
This has been the case the last three years.
And as usual, I'm stuck working trying to put out fires with limited resources.
But to make this year extra special, I am also the after hours on-call person, which means even when I leave work for the day, I'm potentially not done working.
I have already been paged after hours the last two nights.
And of course they weren't simple issues, either.
Which has left me cranky and stressed like a big bag of hurt.
So that is why I haven't been around much this week.
In fact, it might not be until next week that things are back to normal, so hold tight fans and readers.
At least we're not 24/7 and have to work the actual Holiday-days anymore.
