I don't get it.

I'm allergic to wool.
If I get anywhere near it, I break out in a rash and my eyes get dusty and watery, and my nose gets all irritated.
Yet, I can wear worsted wool.
And cashmere.
I know cashmere is from a goat while regular wool is from sheep, but I find it odd that I would have an issue with one and not the other.
I've read that people with wool allergies have them because of the lanolin in the wool.
But as far as I know, I don't have issues with lanolin.
I'm pretty sure I have used lotion with lanolin in it before.
Huh.

Hmmm...

80's aerobic instructor/students must be the hot Halloween costumer.

Hurts Like Brand New Shoes
Word, Sade.
Today is the only the second time I have worn these shoes, and they have tore up my feets!
It's been a while so I totally forgot how bad they mutilate my feet.
By the time I got to work, I was in excruciating pain.
In order to make it through the day, I had to stuff paper towels in my shoe to act as buffers to keep certain parts from rubbing my feets in to bloody stumps.
Should I toss them, or try and break them in?
I like them, but am not in love with them.
I don't remember how much I paid for them, so I think I don't think I'd feel bad for ditching them.
It would be worth it compared to the pain they cause.
I would give them to the charity shop, but I had to split the heel on one 'em to prevent it from grinding my Achilles tendon away.

So....

This morning at work, while I was in the kitchen getting my breakfast ready, a worker from another department that I call 'Bootius Maximus' [because he has a total big ol' male J Lo booty - in a good way] said something that kind of struck me as odd.
Now, we have never even said as much as 'hello' in passing, to each other.
Well, while I was digging in the fridge, and he was next to me getting ice, he asked where I got my shoes.
I must admit, they are pretty sweet shoes, and one of my fave pairs which do happen to get a lot of compliments. [Not pictured above.]
So I tell him where and then he goes:
'Cute shoes.'
?
Now, I had always suspected he was 'family' after a co-worker once mentioned that he thought he had seen Bootius at The Big Gay Club.
To look at him, you would just think he's a big burly straight boy with some inkling of a fashion sense.
He's far from looking all Metro.
But, his use of the phrase 'cute shoes' totally has me thinking he's a big ol' 'mo.
Or am I wrong?
I personally have never heard a straight guy use the term 'cute' to describe a piece of fashion.
Much less to another guy.
I could see a straight guy saying 'cool' or 'sweet', but not cute.
So what do you guys think?
Friend or 'family'?
